It was great to see Gareth Paddison come home strongly with a birdie – birdie finish to secure a Top 10 place in the Fiji International.
It continues a welcome run of form for the New Zealander who won the Charles Tour Order of Merit from Mark Brown winning back to back events in the process.
In a strong field that had European Tour regulars Ryan Fox, Jason Svrivener, Scott Hend and Major winners Vijay Singh, Angel Cabrera and Mike Weir, Paddison shot rounds of 73,69,71,67 .
Gareth said “I would have taken a top ten at the start of the week and there were no real disasters which was nice. I stayed patient and was pleased to finish birdie birdie.”
Paddison now looks forward to the Aussie events including the Australian PGA where US Masters Champion Sergio Garcia will be competing.
